Swimmers Open Season With Win Over Carroll University 132-84

The UW-Whitewater women's swim team opened their 2009-10 season with a 132-84 win over Carroll University Friday night in Whitewater.

UW-W took first in every event at the meet except the 200 yard individual medley and 100 yard breaststroke.
Lisa Dlugopolski and
Megan Kohnke led the Warhawk women each capturing firsts in three events. Dlugopolski had a hand in the 200 medley relay team that recorded a time of 2:01.14 and also took top honors in the 50 freestyle (26.21) and 100 butterfly (1:05.79).
Kohnke helped the 400 freestyle relay team record 3:51.09 which was good enough for first at the meet and also recorded wins in 100 and 200 freestyle races (56.93, 2:03.71).
UW-W is scheduled to host Lawrence University Saturday, November 7 with a scheduled start time of 1:00 p.m.
