Principia Panthers Defeat the Warhawks

The UW-Whitewater women’s soccer team recorded a 3-2 loss Wednesday night against the Principia Panthers at the Fiskum soccer complex. The loss drops the Warhawks to 9-7-1 overall and Principia moves to 9-3-1.
The Warhawks took an early lead as
Becky Cera scored the first goal, 24 minutes into the first half.
Emily Gerber added another goal early in the second half. The Panthers responded quickly though with two goals from Rachel Publicover. A third Panther goal seven minutes later gave Principia the lead and ended the scoring for the night.
With her goal tonight, Gerber tied the record for points in a season (45). She also advanced her record for goals in a season to 22.
The Warhawk’s next match is on Saturday October 24, when they travel to Menominee, WI to take on UW-Stout.
