Men's Soccer Records 4th Consecutive Shutout

The UW-Whitewater men's soccer team recorded their fourth consecutive shutout on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over North Park University in Chicago, Illinois.  The 'Hawks have won their last four games by a combined score of 13-0.  UW-W is now 8-4-3 for the season and North Park falls to 7-5-2.

Luke Mangognia recorded the first Warhawk goal in the ninth minute on an assist from Zach Rewasiewicz.

Luke Buchholz was responsible for the final two Warhawks goals and scored them within four minutes of each other.  The first goal was in the sixteenth minute and was again assisted by Rewasiewicz.  The second goal was in the twentieth minute and came off of a pass from Trevor Swentik.  Buchholz leads the team in goals with nine.

Aaron Sesselman posted the shutout making six saves in the game.  Sesselman has played in six games this season and has only allowed four goals.

The game was relatively even with North Park outshooting Whitewater by two (11-9).  There were 27 fouls called in the game, 14 on Whitewater, and two yellow cards, both to North Park.

The Warhawks play again on Wednesday against Principia College in Whitewater at Robert W. Fiskum field beginning at 2:30 pm.
