Stacey Schultz and
Jenna Samp have been named this week's UW-W women's soccer players of the week.
Offensive player of the week, Schultz, recorded two assists in the match versus Finlandia, and scored the first goal of the game against UW-Eau Claire, which ended up being the tying goal of the match.
Samp, who was named defensive player of the week, led the defense in the shutout against Finlandia, while adding some offense of her own, her first goal of the year off a corner kick. She also led the defense in the match against Eau Claire, only allowing them to score one goal. Jenna Samp has also been named WIAC Athlete of the Week.
Women's Warhawk soccer plays next this Wednesday, October 14, at UW-Oshkosh at 6:30.
