The women's cross country team traveled to UW-Oshkosh for the Brooks Invite Saturday, October 18.  The Whitewater women finished 17th of 30 teams with Katie McCabe (Random Lake/Random Lake) leading the way for UW-Whitewater finishing 20th at 22:26. McCabe was also named UW-Whitewater Runner of the Week for the week of October 3. This is her personal best time for the 2008, beating her previous time by over one minute. Coming in first place for the meet was Marie Borner of Bethel with a time of 20:36.84. A total of 415 runners competed in this invite putting all the Warhawk finishers in the top half.   All of the Warhawks ran their season best time in the meet, with all five of the women who scored recording times among the team's ten best this season.
