UW-Whitewater concluded its most successful football season ever finishing as the national runnerup in the NCAA III national championship, the Amos Alonzo Stagg Bowl, played in Salem, VA, December 17. (game box, game recap). This is the first time in school history that the Warhawks advanced to the NCAA III championship game. Beaver Breaks NCAA Division III Season Rushing Record
Justin Beaver (Palmyra/Palmyra-Eagle) (so, Palmyra/Eagle) finishes the season rushing 2,420 yards, breaking the NCAA III season rushing record. The previous record was held by Dante Brown, Marietta in 1996 with 2,385 yards. Beaver rushed 125 yards in the Stagg Bowl.
