The UW-Whitewater softball team had to beat the number one team in the country, twice, to do it ---and they did.  The Warhawks defeated DePauw University 6-2 in eight innings in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III regional hosted by Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois to advance to the final eight series in Salem, Virginia May 16-20.  UW-Whitewater's post-season site

 Senior Outfielders Tom Corcoran, from Rochester, Minn., and Ben Prather, from Chicago, Ill., were named on the First Team Academic All-District for District Five in the College Division. Senior Catcher Billy Johnson, from Kenosha, Wis., was named to the Second Team.  Ten members of the UW-Whitewater baseball team earned post-season honors from the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.  Included among the honors, Ben Prather was named the Max Sparger WIAC Scholar Athlete for Baseball, Adam Dominick was named Pitcher of the Year, and coach John Vodenlich was named Coach of the Year.
