Staff
The UW-Whitewater Sports Medicine staff consists of: four certified athletic trainers, two team physicians (one orthopedic surgeon and one sports medicine certified physician), one University Health Service employee (Alcohol and Other Drug), and on site chiropractors.
Dr. Bradley Fideler, a native of Iowa, attended the University of Iowa for both his undergraduate degree and medical schooling. Following medical school, he completed an internship at the University of Southern California in Categorical Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Fideler stayed at the University of Southern California for his residency in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Fideler then completed a fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine at the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Inglewood, CA. As an assistant team physician, he worked with a number of professional organizations, including the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angels, Los Angeles Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings, Anaheim Mighty Ducks, and the PGA/Senior PGA tour, in addition to working with a variety of athletic teams at the University of Southern California. Dr. Fideler's affiliations at Mercy Health System include the Beloit Snappers, Whitewater, Elkhorn, Delavan-Darien, and Big Foot High Schools, as well as UW-Whitewater. He currently resides in Fontana with his wife, Rebecca, and three daughters, Kathryn, Elizabeth, and Emily.
Dr. Marjorie Delo grew up outside of Boston, MA and attended MIT for her undergraduate degree, where she competed on the Cross Country and Track and Field teams. Subsequently, she attended New York University School of Medicine in New York, NY and completed a Family Medicine Residency at University of Massachusetts. Dr. Delo completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at UCSD before joining Mercy Health System. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Wisconsin Medical Society, and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Delo covers local endurance events as well as Delavan-Darien and Whitewater High Schools and the Beloit Snappers, in addition to UW-Whitewater athletics. She continues to compete in triathlons and enjoys running with her dog, Flora.
Dr. Todd Tesch, D.C. Dr. Tesch earned his Bachelor of Science in 1993 from the University of Wisconsin ?Eau Claire. In June of 1997, he graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic. He is a member of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, and the Wisconsin Back Society.
Dr. Tesch resides in Fort Atkinson with his wife and two children. His hobbies include basketball, golf, biking, and running.
Dr. Jason Mackey, D.C. Dr. Mackey received his Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College in 2005. Palmer College of Chiropractic granted a Doctor of Chiropractic in December 2005. He is a member of the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association, American Chiropractic Association, and the Wisconsin Back Society. He also provides chiropractic care to the Madison Mallards.
Dr. Mackey resides in Whitewater. He enjoys participating in athletics.
Steve Hillmer joined the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in the fall of 1999 as an Assistant Athletic Trainer. In fall 2005, he was promoted to the Head Athletic Trainer. He received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Madison followed by a master's degree in Exercise Science from the University of Iowa. Steven is a State of Wisconsin Licensed Athletic Trainer and certified member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association.
Chad Kelsey joined UW-Whitewater as an Assistant Athletic Trainer/Lecturer in HPERC Department in August 2005 after serving as Assistant Athletic Trainer at UW-Platteville for 3 years. Prior to his service at Platteville, Kelsey was a Graduate Assistant at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. Kelsey is a graduate of Winona State University with a BS in Exercise Science Athletic Training and completed his graduate thesis studies at Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville with a MSEd in Kinesiology, emphasis Sports Psychology. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer's Association and has been certified since 2000. In addition to his athletic training services, Kelsey also teaches Injury Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries, Structure and Function Lab, and CPR/First Aid/AED classes in the Health & Physical Education, Coaching Department at UW-Whitewater.
Holli Schaible returned to UW-Whitewater in 2006 after finishing her Master's Degree in Health Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to her graduate assistantship in Madison, Holli was an assistant athletic trainer at UW-Whitewater through Mercy Health System. She also earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology from UW-Whitewater in 2002. Holli is a Wisconsin Licensed Athletic Trainer and certified member of the NATA.
Courtney Stefanski joined UW-Whitewater as an assistant athletic trainer in August of 2007. She completed her graduate assistantship at Eastern Illinois University where she received her Masters of Science in sports administration. She earned her Bachelor of Science in athletic training from UW-Stevens Point. Courtney is a Wisconsin licensed athletic trainer and a certified member of the National Athletic Trainers Association.
